Honey joy moments

It’s only about 5 weeks since my books arrived at my front door from Logan Queensland. Benny arrived and he has woven his magic. I have had many honey joy moments, whilst connecting with people and sharing Benny. People within my communities have been so generous, supporting me and sharing feedback.  My choir conductor has been so so supportive. He sent me a photo of his kids after they had just heard my story. He said they loved it.  My friend Janine took 6 books to Vietnam and one of her relatives is learning English. My friend said that my Benny would be her first English story book.  Another friend Jenny bought and read my book. Then she passed it over to her taxi driver who has little people in his life.  Another honey joy moments, a childcare worker is teaching bees because it was world bee day this month. She is going to read it to her children in her care.  There is a kindergarten who likes my book and is organising a reading. I keep asking members...

Sally’s review

A Review from Sally Odgers Ever lost your buzz? Have you felt down, and flat, as if everything's too much trouble? Maybe you didn't even want to do your favourite things. Yes, losing the buzz in life is a serious thing. Benny the bee has lost his buzz. He knows he needs help but who has time for him? Luckily, he manages to find a friend with time to spare. Just talking about the problem helps, but Benny finds the support he needs. Slowly, he starts to feel better. His buzz comes back just in time for an important occasion. Benny is himself again and he knows what to do if it ever happens again. How Benny Gets His Buzz Back is a charming picture book for preschoolers and early readers. The colourful pictures are enticing, and Benny's problem is presented with sympathy and wisdom. There are no easy answers, but the author shows how life can improve, with time, with patience, and with the support of friends. Lost your buzz? Know someone who has? Wonder what it would be like? The leaf bookshop

Today 5 copies of my books went into an independent bookstore. It’s the leaf bookshop in ashburton. This is my local because I frequent this community at least once a week. I use to live in the area and our community theatre was down from the strip of shops. Also I was told that I may not be able to get my book into book stores and libraries because I self published. The leaf bookshop owner decided she liked my Benny story. So happy and buzzy 🐝 This has given me the confidence to tackle Ashburton library. So happy.

Buzzy times

I haven’t been writing much in this blog. I have been buzzy with my book. I feel very fortunate Io have received a lot of support from my friends in the church, choir and Forrest hill community. I appreciate the people who are spreading the positive word. I love the fact I am able to contribute my book into my community.. Seeing and hearing how children are engaging and enjoying Benny is giving me a lot of.joy.
